My name is Jeressia Williamson. I am a tech junkie, beginner-level cook, travel enthusiast, and lifelong learner. I enjoy writing, the Sims, and finding new hobbies. My love for software development started when I was only in elementary school when I first discovered MSN groups. I taught myself basic HTML and CSS. I learned more skills over the years when I started making and selling Myspace and Wordpress layouts in high school. When it was time to go to college, I was unsure if I had what it takes to go into software development and chose to study Social Work instead.
Over the past 5 years, I have worked as a mental health social worker for the homeless in Nashville, TN, a child abuse investigator in Murfreesboro, TN, and as a preschool teacher. I currently own Little Legacies Child Care in Antioch, TN. Still, my passion is for the web and I hope to make software development my career. I am currently enrolled in the Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp at Nashville Software School.
